Worlds biggest vessel calls at Danish Straits and Baltic Sea
In December 2018 the biggest vessel in the world, the “Pioneering Spirit” arrived Danish waters and The Baltic Sea.

En route from Skaw to The Baltic Sea. 2 pilots from Danish Pilot Service embarked the vessel at Skaw, to perform the pilotage from Skaw to the southside of the Great Belt Bridge.
The 2 pilots have extensive experience with the worlds biggest container vessels and for several years, our pilots have performed pilotage of the OOCL vessels through the Danish straits.
After 5 days at anchor with service and crew change, the “Pioneering Spirit” continued it's voyage towards the Baltic Sea with pilot to Gedser.
