First Triple-E vessel calls at Danish Straits and Baltic Sea
In August 2013 the first Triple-E vessel the “Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller” arrived Danish waters and The Baltic Sea on her maiden voyage from the Far East to Europe.
En route from Gdansk in Poland to Aarhus in Denmark on August 25th 2013, 2 pilots from Danish Pilot Service embarked the vessel in the Baltic to perform the pilotage to Aarhus and further to Gothenburg in Sweden. The 2 pilots have extensive experience with container vessels and for several years, our pilots have performed pilotage of the Emma-class vessels through the Danish straits.
After 18 hours pilotage through the Baltic and the Great Belt, the “Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller” arrived Aarhus August 25th early evening.
After a short stay in Aarhus the vessel proceeded to Gothenburg and we were still on board!
